Rainy season is upon us in the Bay Area, but it has not stopped us from enjoying the holiday season and helping out our community. We had three events in December.
1. WSP hosted the GBM on December 6. Raul Laborin of WSP came all the way from San Jose to San Francisco to present on his projects, and we appreciated learning about them! In addition, we held a White Elephant gift exchange afterwards.
2. A few days later, on December 9, eight SF YMF volunteers participated in the Cityteam Oakland dinner meal service, where we helped serve dinner to people in need. It was a neat way to give back to our community and share our experiences with other people.
3. Our last December event was the Toys for Tots Happy Hour and Donation Drive at Arthur Mac's Tap and Snack in Oakland. The slogan was "Bring a toy, get a free drink on us!" In the end, people brought lots of toys, and we bought lots of beer and food!
