ROLES

PAST PRESIDENT
The Past-President is the primary liaison between the YMF Board and Section Board. They update the Section Board on YMF events and financial status at monthly Section meetings and can request for assistance from the Section.

PRESIDENT
The President has general supervision of the affairs of YMF, its officers, and members. They preside at monthly YMF Board meetings.
​
PRESIDENT-ELECT / VICE PRESIDENT
The Vice President coordinates with the local ASCE student chapters to plan collaborative events such. They also track YMF events by compiling event reports for the annual end-of-the-year report to ASCE Society. The President-elect will assume the role of President the following fiscal year.

TREASURER
The Treasurer oversees all financial matters including budgeting for events, fundraising, and managing reimbursements.

TREASURER-ELECT / VICE TREASURER
The Vice Treasurer assists the Treasurer on financial matters including budgeting for events, fundraising, and managing reimbursements. The Treasurer-elect will assume the role of Treasurer the following fiscal year.

SECRETARY
The Secretary oversees all written material, keeps minutes at the YMF Board meetings, and sends out bi-weekly email newsletters.
​
MARKETING DIRECTOR
The Marketing Director consolidates all event information and ensures that it is posted to all appropriate forums such as Instagram, LinkedIn, and Google Calendar.
​
WEBMASTER
The Webmaster manages the SF YMF website by updating its contact information, announcing YMF events, and adding event photos.
​
GOLF TOURNAMENT CHAIR(S)
The Golf Tournament Chair(s) plan the annual golf tournament fundraiser with San Jose YMF and ACE Mentor SF Bay Area.
​
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT CHAIR(S)
The Professional Development Chair(s) plan events such as info sessions, field trips, and seminars.
​
SOCIAL CHAIR(S)
The Social Chair(s) plan events such as social hours, sports games, camping/ski trips, and fun outings.
​
PHILANTHROPY CHAIR(S)
The Philanthropy Chair(s) plan events such as Engineers Week (E-Week) programs and volunteering opportunities.
​
JEDI CHAIR(S)
The JEDI Chair(s) plan events that promote Justice, Equity, Diversion, and Inclusion. They also ensure that all other YMF events engender a sense of belonging and promote equitable opportunity for all people to participate.
